Hello skiers,
I really did not want to write a report from Tahoe today. It is not pretty outside at this hour (3:30). I must admit that I did not put skis on today, as the weather just looked too wet. It is currently 32 at the top of Ward Peak and 39 at the base. The sky has been gray most of the day, with on and off showers falling during all the daylight hours. I did see the sun a couple of times, and there were periods of dryness, but on the whole it has been a rainy day. The ski area may have received some wet snow at elevations over 7500 to 8000 feet, but it is dumping rain at 6100 feet.
A friend of mine did go up to the mountain at about 11:00 in the morning. He reported very sticky conditions with some okay skiing on the steeper runs.
Well, that is all from Alpine today.
Enjoy your day. Andy
